  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon pepper paste
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1-2 pieces mackerel (preferably fresh)
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • green parsley for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes


We clean the fish well, remove its intestines and cut off its head and tail. Wash it well and cut it into 4-5 pieces. Let it drain. Finely chop the onion and put it in hot oil. We peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into larger pieces. When the onion has softened, add the potatoes and quench with enough water to cover them. Put the lid on and let it boil for 10 minutes. Put the tomatoes, peppers and simmer for another 5 minutes. If the tomatoes are too sour, we can add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Add the pieces of fish, salt, pepper and leave for another 5 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with green parsley.
